Seafile Server is an enterprise file sync and share software for your own server.

Seafile Server stores files and folders in libraries. For confidential information, a library can be encrypted. Seafile uses end-to-end encryption.

A library can be shared in its entirety with other users or only select folders. There are five default sharing permissions. Additionally, an unlimited number of custom sharing permissions can be defined for even more fine-grained control.

To share files (in unencrypted libraries) with external partners, Seafile offers sharing links. With a download link, a Seafile user can share data with an external person. A upload link is a way to upload files and even folders into a library without a login. A combined upload-download link is a convenient way to collaborate intensively with external partners.

Text-based files - DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, TXT, MD, PDF and many other file types - are indexed and their full text can be searched. An integration with an antivirus solution keeps the malicious software outside.
